Music Teacher Position
Qualified music teachers wanted for our music academy in Crestview and Fort Walton Beach locations.
Crestview:
Voice
Voice
Brass Instruments (Preferably trombone & low brass)
Fort Walton Beach:
Voice
Piano
Woodwind Instruments
Brass Instruments (Preferably trombone & low brass)
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Previous teaching experience and/or music education/performance degree.
- Availability during the afternoons to evening hours.
- Flexibility to teach most weekdays and Saturdays.
- Ability to teach all ages 5 to 90. (Depending on instrument)
- Experienced in planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual students' needs.
- Experienced in teaching proper music theory, not just songs.
- Ability to classically train students as well, not just modern music. (Preferred)
- Ability to assess students’ abilities and progress.
- Successful in preparing students for recitals.
- Ability to learn and follow UpBeat policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and UpBeat staff.
- Consistently organized in keeping attendance records.
- Maintain regular and punctual work attendance.
